- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour or cornstarch
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Cooking spray (avocado, olive, or canola oil)
Instructions
- Slice onions into thin rings or strips using a mandoline or sharp knife.
- Soak sliced onions in cold water for 10 minutes, then pat dry thoroughly.
- In a bowl, mix flour (or cornstarch), panko, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Toss onions in the mixture to coat evenly.
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F.
- Place onions in a single layer in the air fryer basket and lightly spray with oil.
- Cook for 8–10 minutes, shaking or flipping halfway through for even crisping.
- Remove when golden and crispy, and serve immediately or store as directed.
Notes
Ensure onions are completely dry before coating for best crispiness. Avoid overcrowding the basket to prevent steaming.
